The game uses a custom set of cards to establish character attributes, to determine the nature of quests, and to determine what things the hero will need to complete the quests. These cards are provided only as text lists in the game document and require formatting and production prior to play.

In the game, one player assumes the character of the Hero and the remaining players assume the characters of Gods. The Hero and Gods are, essentially, in opposition to each other. The Hero must solicit things from the Gods, who will provide them only at a price.
