In Beyond Fear, there are cosmic beings hidden away from society, alien races who are unfathomable by human imagination. They aren’t interested in us, unless they can use us for their gain, or if we happen to cross paths with them. It is safe to say that these entities are beyond us in terms of strength and power. Should you come across one then it’s wise to flee - that is, of course, if you haven’t already succumbed to madness at the mere sight of the thing. Players are not butch, rocket-launcher wielding marines in Beyond Fear. Rather, they are academics, journalists, lawyers, priests and detectives - ordinary people unraveling the frail tapestry of the universe strand by strand.
