I am excited to release the twentieth book in my OSR Series of adventures, “BIG TROUBLE AT THE BEAR'S LAIR” a mid-level, dungeon crawl adventure for a group of 4 to 6 players running characters of levels 2 to 4. In this adventure your players will come to the aid of the citizens of a quiet foothills community which is being threatened by a pair of arrogant ogres, whose Chaos army has recently taken over a grizzly bear’s lair in the nearby foothills, and are now causing big trouble for the villagers. After months of getting away with sowing trouble and discord, the ogres, in their hubris, have begun fantasizing about taking over the entire local area and establishing a fiefdom, with them as its robber king and queen! But the local folks are having none of that; angered by these wanton attacks, they have sent a pleas for help to their local authorities, and have even hired mercenaries to aid them, those scourges of monster-kind: adventurers! This is where your players come in; they are quested with confronting the ogres and their minions in their lair, and bringing these curs to justice!
SYNOPSIS: The pastoral village of Baile nam Muc, which sit in the forested foothills of Dùn Bhriste, has had its peace shattered recently, courtesy of a pair of ogres and their Chaotic minions, who have recently taken over a grizzly bear’s den in the nearby foothills, and are causing no end of trouble in the region. Now, after months of getting away with sowing discord, the ogres have grown cocky. They decided it was time to make war closer to home, and have begun staging brazen and bloody attacks on famers and merchants headed into the village. Stumbling upon the village, only a day after one of the most brutal attacks, you have been recognized by the authorities as adventuring heroes, and asked to help.
