Bill & Ted's Retro Collection is a compilation developed by Limited Run Games using their proprietary Carbon Engine and published by Limited Run Games on February 17th 2023 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4/5. Physical versions of the game were produced for all three consoles in both standard and Collector's editions later that same year.
This release comprises 2 cult classic games from 1991; the NES title Bill & Ted's Excellent Video Game Adventure and Game Boy's Bill & Ted's Excellent Game Boy Adventure: A Bogus Journey!
Sadly, due to the expiration of the license, the digital versions of the game had to be removed from sale as of January 1st 2024. Per Josh Fairhust, co-founder and CEO of Limited Run Games, they were only able to secure the license for two years, but due to a delay during the title's development, this made the window to actually purchase the game much shorter.
