Black Spirits: Remnants is a is an expansion for the popular Black Spirits: Combat Cards game system, a supplement that replaces dice components in board games based on extremely popular dark fantasy action RPG video games that test the mettle of players' souls to use cards for their combat systems rather than dice. It expands on the philosophy of that set by introducing enhancements that add depth to your board game, with a goal focused on maximum value per dollar. It provides the same type of gameplay depth and similar design goals as Black Spirits: Wayward and Weathered, the sprawling expansion to Combat Cards, but in a package half the size. The two sets can be played separately, but they also intertwine, so having both expansions becomes greater than the sum of each.
As with the Black Spirits: Combat Cards core set, Black Spirits: Wayward and Weathered is drop-in with no modifications, house rules, or tweaks necessary to the board game played. It's built with the latest sets of those board games in mind, but is also compatible with earlier versions of those games, so you can inject new life (or of course, death) into your already-owned games regardless of what your collection looks like.
