As Holly Jacobson, a detective in the Los Angeles Police Department, the player goes under cover in order to stop an elusive serial killer, whose interest lies in the workers at LA Erotica Magazine. In a first person mode, evidence must be collected by talking with characters, visiting important locations, and receiving tips via PDA. Multiple endings are possible and are dependent on the player's actions within the game.
