Even experienced adventurers deserve the occasional vacation, and our latest offering provides a setting just for that. Bone China Isle is a tropical island, known for feasts, welcoming locals, and, most of all, its magical pottery, made, in part, from the ashes of the deceased. These unique dishes are ingrained in the local culture, and are symbolically used for religious ceremonies, as well as feasts and trading – a wise chieftain may end up as a ceremonial bowl in the temple, whereas an annoying hatemonger might become the ashtray in the local tavern.
The island can be a place of peaceful relaxation and a hunting ground for rare souvenirs, though adventurers would best be careful if they step in the jungle, lest they be hunted themselves by snakes, bats and flesh-eating parrots!
We think of Bone China Isle as a flexible setting – it can be included in the Saltmarsh and Tomb of Annihilation campaigns, or in any other setting that seeks to use nautical themes, island hopping and sea travel.
