Adventure hook for use with this map:

MART Excavation: An overseer has built a makeshift wooden and metal sheet covered bridge on top of an old steel bridge frame with gaps spanning a vast canyon. After the bridge was finished he brought in two lines of chain gang slaves tied together by interlocking manacles across the bridge. Each slave has been forced to grip a pick-axe with both hands and then their hands were bound together by rope so that they cannot drop the pick or move their hands independently of the pick. The manacles and tight ropes are cutting their skin along their ankles and wrists. Blisters are forming on their palms from the sweat and constantly gripping the handle of the pick. Those that slack off are given the lash of the overseer’s whip on their backs. Dehydration, hunger, pain, and heat exhaustion have brought the slaves to the brink of death. Slaves that die are released from their manacles and their hands untied to keep the ropes and pick-axe. Then their bodies are unceremoniously tossed into the canyon below.

The group witnesses these atrocities and can decide to intervene on their behalf by defeating the overseer and his men. The overseer has guards on both sides of the bridge but most of his men are on the mart side of the cliff directly making sure the slaves work.
