From publisher blurb:
Volume V introduces Faith to your OSR game, granting clerics a minor boost by relying on their connection to the powers they have chosen to serve. In addition, 17 new spells are offered along with the ability to upscale many of them. The Hedge Witch class is presented. And finally, MONSTERS, Abominations from hulking horrors to multi-eyed monstrosities.
Faith presents a simple mechanic that works similarly to Mana Manipulation, though not nearly as involved or dangerous to the character. By expending his faith, the cleric grants or gains minor benefits that can be used to help turn the tide against the forces that oppose him.
Spells ranging from magical amulets to creating shelters in the wild with little more than a stick are also presented. A version of Summon Monsters that allows the caster to randomly pull in an ally from the ether to help bolster the party in their time of need.
The Hedge Witch falls between a magic-user and a cleric, a community based spell-caster that focuses on the little magics that help people get through the day. She can also produce perishable potions that still pack a bit of magic for anyone that imbibes them.
And then there are MONSTERS! 19 aberrant beasties that ranged from 1 to 16 hit dice to challenge a party of nearly any level. Including the KalZorians that look like floating brains and tentacles that excel at ambushing the unwary and the MegaZorians with their large bulbous bodies and eyes that can not only penetrate the soul, but can end it as well.
