Volume VI is all about magic items, particularly magical weapons, armor, and shields with two alternative ways to present them to players that allow them to evolve with their characters. In addition, the Artificer class is presented along with several new types of armor.
Gems of Prescience are magical gems that can be grafted on weapons, armor, and shields, allowing the items to be easily temporarily enchanted and imbuing other spell-like effects. Heritage-bonded items grow in power as the player-character levels up, and through the use of rituals additional abilities can be unlocked.
The Artificer loves to mix magic with mechanics and begins with his own mechanical companion. He can also create other quasi-magical items by investing some of his own spirit within as well as casting arcane spells.
Several types of lamellar and scaled armor in various materials are also given, geared more for classes that are limited on the type of armor options available such as druids.
