From the rulebook:
You are Victorian Renaissance. You are Doctors of Genetics and Practitioners of Mysticism. You are detectives on the trail of the prodigy of Jack the Ripper and other killers that would mimic his style in Victorian London. You have been chosen to catch these killers because of the creatures you are able to create and your abilities to project yourself into objects. You, as the good doctor, must choose an object in the scene to project into. You must also choose which of your genetically modified creatures you will send to the scene to help you discover clue or catch the killer.
