By the Gods is an aid designed to serve several functions. In essence it is a game aid and (optionally) a system for playing deities of a variety of power and influence levels in settings appropriate to myth and legend. The orientation of the system is toward minor deities, demigods, and even epic heroes. The product is intended as a component of To Challenge Tomorrow and uses the basic rules from that system. The product also was intended to be used alongside a pantheon book form the same publisher.
