From the description:
Spring, 1375
Just after the Feast of the Annunciation
Sir William de Cantilupe’s corpse has been found by the side of a road near Grayingham. It was arranged to appear as if he had been attacked by bandits, but the deception was poorly done. De Cantilupe was murdered in a more intimate fashion.
In the de Cantilupe manor house in Scotton, Lincolnshire, those who knew him best assemble to remember Sir William and lament his foul murder.
That’s the story, anyway.
In truth Sir William de Cantilupe was a complete bastard and everyone from wife to scullery maid wanted him dead. Almost everybody here took their shot, with knife or poison or bare hands. The only question now is who is going to take the blame.
The answer to that is simple—the one who didn’t even try. For someone in this room isn’t guilty, and that person is the one who must hang for the crime. Conspiracy, it seems, is a profound social leveler.
Cantilupe is a live-action roleplaying game.
