Description

This book is all about games, covering board games, cards, and dice. Games are a stable in many cultures and fantasies, yet in D&D, they are usually ignored. DM’s are rightfully concerned that playing out a full game like chess consumes precious game time. Players are concerned that they want their characters to play with his skills and not themselves. Some feel silly or awkward playing a game within a game.

This book intends to introduce board games into your D&D world in a way that flows right with D&D. All games in this book come with a lightweight ruleset that uses D&D game mechanics to play an abstract version of these games in just a few minutes. These rules are referred to as “gaming challenges” in this supplement, and they recognize the character’s skill rather than the player’s.

For even quicker play, a one-roll version of all games is included. Flavored with some rants that players might hear while people are playing the game, and even an adventure hook featuring the game.
