The design is based on a 3 x 3 inch tile size, but, also include 3 x 6 inch, 3 x 9 inch, 6 x 6 inch, and 6 x 9 inch tiles. These sizes have been chosen because they are all easily printed using common color printers on letter size (8.5 x 11 inch) paper.

Files are provided in three different ways for use in print (400dpi) or for screen (150dpi) applications. The PDF contains print quality images laid out on letter paper with bleeds and trim marks making efficient use of paper. The CMYK-PRINT folder contains the individual raw images with a 0.125 inch bleed. (A bleed is when the image extends past the edge of the finished piece so that when it is trimmed the image runs all the way to the edge even if your cuts are not perfect. These must be trimmed to finished size or the grid will not line up.) The RGB-SCREEN folder contains the individual raw images without the bleed for use on screen or design/mockups to determine how many of what tiles your map will need.
