From publisher blurb:
PORCINE PROBLEMS
An OSR Zine Adventure
in Zine & Mini-Zine Format
Intended for 4-6 PCs of Levels 2-4
Hello and welcome, adventurers and Game Masters!
I am pleased to announce the release of a new issue of my Old School gaming zine, CAVALIER ATTITUDE! Our last published issue (the 10th quarterly issue) was in December 2019, so this new issue is a relaunching of the zine! As the masthead on the old zine made clear, its focus was the Old School Revival (OSR) scene, and this new issue stays true to that purpose - as I intend to present old school adventures in a mini-zine format going forward. For the longest time I have wanted to produce true "fold and paste" mini-zines, and so I decided to relaunch Cavalier Attitude with that goal in mind. So, I present to you the very first issue of my revamped format: PORCINE PROBLEMS, a mini-zine OSR adventure intended for 4 to 6 player characters of levels 2 to 4.
SYNOPSIS: In this scenario, the players find themselves traveling the roads east of Dùn Bhriste, heading towards the small village of Baile nam Muc, eager to sample its renowned “Porkfest”, an annual cookout featuring the town’s prized pigs. However, adventure finds the players, in the form of black smoke drifting off a lone promontory known as Misty Hill. Investigating further, the players come upon the aftermath of a terrible battle upon the hillock, and are quested by the sole survivor of the attacks, a young girl named Esmeralda, to save her kidnapped father and their mounts from the monstrous attackers. Following the foe's tracks into the nearby wood, the players will have to take on a cadre of wild boars led by a porcine were-beast who, angry at the treatment of their kind by local farmers, attacked Esme's band of travelling peddlers, bent on revenge against humankind!
