Deep in the wilderness, there is a place where once powerful elven Archmage – Ethariel Firebringer – had one of his hideouts. After his downfall not all of his residences were plundered and Cave of the Ancients remains one of the few, whose fate remains unknown.
When PCs try to explore it, they will need to face not only the original defenses of the place created by Archmage but also countermeasures left by his enemies, trying to seal away his existence to spoil his plans of resurrection.
