The Kazadore Class Scout/Light Transport is a general purpose vessel used for a variety of tasks. It has the usual Jump-2 range for ships of this class, but is capable of a steady 4G acceleration and, unusually, is equipped with a pop-down ventral turret as standard. Because of this, streamlining is excellent and sensor cross-section is minimised.
The design is simple and robust, with a central cargo hold and rear loading ramp. On either side of the hold are two, mirror imaged, engineering spaces with identical manoeuvre drives, power generation capabilities and the twin nodes of the Jump Drive.
Living conditions are typical for this class with four staterooms capable of
double occupancy, but the only airlock provided is an austere model fitted
in the inspection corridors on the lower deck. Additional ship’s facilities are
usually provided using modified cargo containers in the hold, for flexibility.
