One of those beings was Aketatu the Sky Lord. Born from the purest light and carried on the winds of creation, Aketatu gave birth to the colors of the rainbow and used its powerful breath to infuse the world with the power of the elements. When it was done, it entered a deep sleep that would last 10,000 years, resting in the Ethereal Plane on the summit of what would become known as Mount Tengoku.
It has been nearly 10,000 years since Aketatu entered its slumber, and the people of Kirishima, a small island to the east of the mainland, have come to revere the Sky Lord as a great creation deity. Festivals are held in its honor, and it is said that those who are born on the last day of the week (supposedly the day Aketatu finished its work) are destined for great things. To them, the Sky Lord is benevolent, one to be welcomed. The truth, however, is far more grim.
Aketatu cares not for the beings who worship it. It exists to create new worlds, and in order for it to do so, all that exists must be cleansed. Only from ashes can new life grow. When it returns, it will destroy the world and everyone in it just so it can remake it anew. Unless Aketatu is stopped, all that is shall be unmade.
