Chert's Gate: An Adventure

Chert is a troll. A mean, ill-tempered, foul-mouthed troll. He’s even more ill-tempered because he can’t find a bridge that isn’t already occupied. Out of pure spite, he’s created his own “bridge” by smashing up a roadhouse, eating all the people, then pulling down a tree across the King’s Road and charging tolls to move it and let people through.

Chert’s Gate is a fantasy adventure (really, an elaborate encounter) you can use for an evening’s entertainment or as part of a larger campaign.

The adventure is designed for low-level characters, but can turn deadly if the players aren't wise! It can be played in any system.
