From the summary: War’s a dirty business, it’s your job to make it look good. You’re a gentleperson’s officer, high ranking and expertly trained. You’re as deadly with a sword as you are with a word and while your focus appears to be well choreographed violence, you’re real purpose is diplomatic. The hope is that if a Chevalier and your retinue arrive at a conflict, the threat of your abilities to kill tend to be enough to get everyone willing to listen and compromise.
