From publisher blurb:
Here you will find the post-apocalyptic ruins of downtown Chicago as a hexcrawl for Rubble and Ruin.
There is an overview of the former city, and hex maps of the ruins. There is a player’s copy showing just the physical geography of the region, and a GMs map marking the different gang territories and points of interest. There are descriptions of the various gangs and points, special encounter tables for the different regions and details on the relationships between the different groups.
There are also rules for randomly determining what items prospecting characters find while searching through the rubble. This can be anything from an old toothbrush to a safe full of useful supplies.
But wait there’s more. It also includes a hexcrawl adventure through the remains of a walled university left unlooted since the Global Wars, the Dead Uni.
And you also get 18 fully developed starting characters. These characters form the backbone of the expedition to the Dead Uni and can be handed out as PCs for short games or used as NPCs for long campaigns.
What is a hexcrawl? At its simplest, a hexcrawl is a type of adventure where player characters explore a map, usually covered with a hex grid, hence the name. Player characters move across the map, travelling from one place of adventure to the next, following a path determined by the character’s interests, the ability to move over the terrain, and the results of earlier encounters.
