Description

Chip-A-Tak is an abstract, checkers-like game that allows both capture and recapture of an opponent's pieces. Unlike checkers, Chip-A-Tak employs a dice roll to determine the number of spaces that a player may move his chips as he attempts to reach the other side of the board.

Originally intended as a gambling game, Chip-A-Tak includes rules for wagering and for repurchasing captured chips using either actual currency or the imitation money included with the game.

Chip-A-Tak is played on an 8x10 checkers-style board, with each player having a rear row of 8 spaces filled with chips and an adjacent row with the center four spaces filled.
