With the defeat of Severin Silrajin at the Well of Dragons, the Cult of the Dragon's aspirations to raise Tiamat from her prison in the Nine Hells were crushed. While many of the cult's forces were slain or captured in the final battle, many others escaped, dreaming of their chance of revenge against the heroes who thwarted them.

Among these escaped cultists is Galvan, the blue dragon wyrmspeaker. Renowned for his intellect and strategic knowledge, Galvan's escape has troubled many of the members of the Council of Waterdeep. After many months of searching, the Council's forces have found Galvan hiding out in an old cult fortress - and even better, the party is familiar with this particular fortress. Alongside an unlikely ally, can the party find Galvan before he can resurrect the cult?
