Description

Cobble is a hidden words game for one or more players. Similar to Boggle, the game is about cobbling letters into words. It is language-independent.

There are two versions: Standalone and Scrabble add-on. The Scrabble version uses your own Scrabble tiles.

COMPONENTS:

6-inch lasercut game board with inset grid
10 arrow tiles
4 dry erase game boards
4 dry erase markers (with extra addon)
26 letter tiles or 26 of your own Scrabble tiles.

GOAL:
Make the highest scoring word each round. Have the best score after ten rounds.

SETUP:

Randomly layout 25 tiles face up in the grid.
Scatter the arrows face down
Pick up at least three arrows and place in their corresponding locations in the grid.
Give each player a dry erase marker and dry erase board.

GAME PLAY:
Playing simultaneously, players have one to several minutes to each “cobble” together a word. After the time limit, each player calls out their word and their score.
Mark your score on your dry erase board.
A word consists of one letter from each of the marked vertical columns and/or horizontal rows.

FORMING WORDS:
To form a word, collect one letter from each line marked with an arrow. See the examples in the images.

PLAY IN ROUNDS:
After each round, shuffle and swap at least six letter tiles. Remove the arrow tiles. Decide upon 3-6 arrows for this round and randomly select and place a new set of arrows.
Ensure that one of the lines contains a vowel.

ENDING THE GAME:
The game is over after ten rounds.

WINNING THE GAME:
The winner will have the most points. If there is a tie, play another round.

TIPS:
Use the space at the bottom of your dry erase board to write eligible letters. You may need to unscramble the letters.

FAQS:

Do the letters need to be in a specific order or follow the numbers 1-10? NO
