The theme of this supplement is time, so all of the spells relate to past and future events, time-space, chronology, and age. Sorcerers and Wizards have the most spells added to their spell lists from this supplement, with wizards representing the academic side of time, and sorcerers its chaotic and often unpredictable nature. For better compatibility with official 5e, all of the spells in this supplement are from an official school of magic. Still, you could easily make or add them to a chronomancy school if your setting would benefit from it.
The spells in this supplement grant casters access to spells with numerous uses, but there are some prevailing ideas. The first is stopping or freezing a creature or object in time. The exact effect changes, but stopping a target from moving or at least slowing it down is an effect that can be used on both individual targets and areas. The second idea is age such, as accelerating a target’s age to debilitate or heal it. Some of these spells are brief, so the aging is temporary and used to cause another effect. For others, the aging is permanent, potentially debilitating or killing targets if they are unable to stop the effect in time. Finally, a good number of the spells manipulate actions, such as stopping creatures from taking a reaction, granting them an additional action, and even undoing an entire turn.
