Description

Community is a fairly simple cooperative tile-laying game where players try to connect a Home tile to all of the important "community" Location tiles (hospital, school, park, recycling center, and so on) using road tiles of varying connections. The intent is to get players (especially children) to contemplate what makes a community, as well as teach strategy and cooperation. The tiles are hexagonal.

Players first populate the board with the Home tile, then an assortment of Location tiles scattered about. Then each player receives a "hand" of three tiles, which are placed face up in front of them. This hand is replenished after each play.

Starting from Home, players on their turns place tiles that join road hex-sides, attempting to build a pattern of roadways that reaches from Home to all of the locations.
