Down this road: The famous adventure Keep on the Borderlands brings forth the idea that not all the monsters in a dungeon work together. They have their own alliances and deal with the other monster to achieve what they want. This must mean that those monsters got together at some point and agreed on some things, but what if there was a tie? Who would count as another member of the dungeon that could decide these things? Well, your party may fit the bill.
