Contamination Europe - A Post-Apocalyptic Role Playing Game
Contamination Europe is a classic-style Role Playing Game set in a post-apocalyptic future. If you have no more use for Elves, Dwarves or Heroes, you have come to the right place.
Brief Summary
In 2065 a worldwide nuclear war destroyed human civilization and killed nearly everyone and everything on Earth. The few who survived the war formed new factions and communities in the remnants of destroyed cities. As time passes, new species emerges, mutated by radiation. Eighty-nine years later the world is still a rotting graveyard, but a few survivors fight to see the next day.
Contamination Europe is set in 2154 in a post-apocalyptic Germany. Prior to the nuclear war, the Germans fought the Russian army in yearlong bloody trench warfare for the last coal deposits in Eastern Germany. Because of the general shortage of raw materials, hardly any motorized units were deployed. Whole armies of tanks and airplanes were useless. The war was an infantry war similar to the First World War. Eventually the Russian army used biological and chemical weapons to break through the frontlines, but this attempt failed. Still, the use of B and C weapons continued for some years. Even after the nuclear war, wide areas are still contaminated with deadly viruses and chemical gases. These regions are now known as the "Toxic Fields".
In the years after the bombs, several new factions rose. The Wasteland Tribes, the Bandit Clans, the Trade Union, the Panzer League and others had arisen from the nuclear ashes to pursue their own goals.
The player characters are wasteland dwellers who explore the deadly wasteland for equipment and food. Depending on their actions, they will earn or lose reputation to the various factions. They may play as the good guys or the bad guys.
Players can also find or buy their own home base and equip it with various facilities such as water filter, furniture, power plants, automated guns, minefields or a howitzer.
