A computer implementation of the UK TV game "Countdown" (which was an adaptation of the French TV game "Des Chiffres et des Lettres"). Two contestants face several rounds of word and number puzzles. In the word round, players are given 9 letters and must find the longest word possible. In the numbers round, players are given 6 numbers, and must use some or all of these numbers to reach a random 3-digit number by using basic maths.
The winner is the player with the most points at the end of a round.
