The 11 Countdown cards are placed in a face-up pile in decreasing order, 10 to 0. Players are dealt 5 Action cards each, and the rest make the face-down draw pile. In a turn a player makes an equation using cards in their hand to equal the top of the stock pile, if possible; if they can, they keep all the cards of that equation and the top stock card in a separate pile. The turn ends by drawing a card whether or not they made an equation. The round ends when a player takes the last stock card; the winner of the round is the player with the most cards won. The overall winner is the first player to win 3 rounds.
