D&D Druids are not so much an ancient Celtic priesthood as they are a native, ecologically motivated resistance organization, a non-aligned third way movement in the middle of the Planar cold war.

In Coup I’ve reworked orthodox D&D druidic ideas to emphasize the Inner Planes metaphysics of their life magics, making the class completely distinct from the Cleric. The class is still about powerful elemental magic, shapeshifting and animal summoning, but a robust, novel magical metaphysic should make for some interesting variety in how it all plays out.
