Players step by step develop their insects and acquire new ones into their insect crews. They look for food, can attack the opponent's insects and do other special actions.
The game is shared deck building focused to 2 players which means that there is a one deck related to both players where each player contributes to the deck with his own cards. Each round reveals 3 cards and players mainly try to develop their insect cards and acquire new ones.
Another element is dice placement. Each round players roll the number of dice depending on currently revealed cards and alternatively place dice on designated places on cards which trigger actions like acquire, development and attack.
Final mechanic is development and is performed by rotating of squar cards by 90 degrees (all cards are squared). Rotating of cards represents 4 stages of insect metamorphosis which gives to players advantages in form of dice rolling number and victory points which are summarized from the whole deck on the end of the game.
