Not a domino game despite the title.
49 cards, each with a syllable on. The idea is to make the syllables link together to form as many words as you can crossword-fashion.
Each player gets an equal number of cards and a set time to make their personal crossword.
There is also a 1 player diversion where you must make a complete crossword using all 49 cards. The answer is provided.
I have left the original description untouched as presumably the author is talking about the US version and one of the three games they have using the pieces. My version is the Wellingtons Limited version which is just the one game. The pictures show the dominoes as I have them - 96 with either one or two letters on. The way they are played is domino like though you can play multiple dominoes in a single placement if it makes a word and links to the grid. The visual effect is crossword like as the domino ends without letters are matt black.
There is no time limit and each player plays on the same "crossword" as per dominoes.
