When a clown cries we all cry. In this game of Crying With a Sad Clown you must try to cry the most by playing cards from your hand and gathering the tear tokens.
Game Contents:
60 Cards of Four Suits (Man, Woman, Child, Clown)
24 Tear Tokens
Game Setup:
Shuffle and deal all the cards to all the players. Every player should receive the same amount of cards.
Game Play:
The starting player chooses 1-3 cards from their hand and plays at least one face up in front of their play area. All other players in order play 1-3 cards either face up or face down in front of their play area. After all players have played a card,flip over any face down cards.
Score each “trick” as follows: The man (blue) and woman (yellow) act as a group. The baby (purple) and clown (red) are a group. The group with the least amount of cards wins the “trick” and takes a tear token of the same color as the card they played in player order. If the groups are equal in size, no player wins a token. After each trick, the starting player is the next player in order. The game ends when 3 of the 4 color tear tokens are depleted or when all of one player's cards have been played. The winner is the player with the most tokens within the widest variety of colors.
