From publisher blurb:
Break a domination ritual, stop a wicked necromancer and save a little girl in this 10th-level adventure for the world’s greatest roleplaying game.
Centuries ago, the temple of Cairn Urgol was used as a place of worship. The local townsfolk would come here to pay respect to their gods. The temple was looked after by five temple keepers who were elected by the people.
One day, the keepers of the temple had a visitor, a giant minotaur named Hesra. Hesra was unusually peaceful and intelligent for a minotaur, which made the keepers believe that Hesra was a reincarnation of their god, and so, they started to worship him.
Not soon after, the locals found out about their pagan beliefs. They took matters into their own hands and hanged the heretics, shackled their pagan god and buried it alive along with the temple keepers in a crypt below the temple.
Three weeks ago, a dangerous necromancer called Reks Doghor, and his subordinate cultists moved into these ruins to exercise their foul and dark magic. Reks learned of these ruins and what transpired here through ancient texts left by his forefathers.
Reks Doghor is attempting to create and enslave minotaurs which are notoriously hard to control. Because the domination magic requires a human subject to transform, the cultsist were ordered by Reks to abduct the local townsfolk. Reks believes that when he masters this new form of domination magic, it’ll eventually make him able to dominate Hesra and use him as a weapon of carnage.
