Beregost is a large town just outside of the magical library of Candlekeep. A terrible curse has befallen the land, causing crops to wither and die just before the harvest. All hope seems lost until a group of aspiring heroes stumble into town. After a quest to find a sage at Candlekeep goes sideways, will the heroes be able to save the town?
A Candlekeep Bookend
This short adventure is meant to serve as a "bookend" (a support for the end of a row of books to keep them upright, often one of a pair) for the first adventure of Candlekeep Mysteries, "The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces". In this case, this bookend is meant to support the beginning and end of "The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces" so that it feels like a fully fleshed-out adventure. This adventure is intended for parties of 4 to 6 characters starting at average level 1 or 2 before "The Joy of Extradimensional Spaces".
