The future in America is absolute shit. President Ron Paul rules over all & libertarianism has led to its logical conclusion. Now the good old US of A is balls-deep in a toxic mixture of anarchy and corporate domination. Every function of the federal government has either been privatized or abolished. The metropolitan hubs of old have been taken over and retrofitted by corporations, and are now lovingly called “corp zones.”Each of these zones has their own constitution, police, court, and military and bureaucratic structures—some even have puppet governments so as to give the impression of legitimacy to their citizens. The corp zones are almost always highly metropolitan and technologically advanced, though they are also rife with the impoverished slums typical of today’s major cities. While the corps control most of the major cities, bandits, gangs, the mentally ill, and mercenaries roam the rest of the country/wasteland in search of their daily sustenance. Some people say they’ve seen even stranger abominations beyond the pale in the wastes, but only complete fucking idiots (or those getting a big corporate paycheck) would troll those badlands. Some speculate that some of the secret societies of the past still exist, but that they now either control corporations or hold
cabals in old military structures, bomb shelters, and enclaves. Beyond the physical world lies cyberspace—an infinite cache of data, piracy, and pleasure. Cyberspace is only accessible via decks (big keyboards you dipshit), an input to the net, and a neural interface installed in the orifice of your choice (most people choose the mouth.) THIS IS THE WORLD OF CYBERPANKY N.O.W., EAT SHIT DOUCHEBAG.

Cyberpanky N.O.W. is not some chickenshit game that you play to have fun. Cyberpanky N.O.W. is the kind of game where every minute is a constant struggle for survival against all odds. Gratification is hard to come by and diminished by the immediate dire reality of the times (as well as mechanics.) Surviving this “state of nature,” as Hobbes would put it, will take every bit of cunning (cumming), constitution, & guile on account of your character. There is always someone (or something) bigger, stronger, faster, and wealthier than you, and you’ve probably already pissed him or her off on account of your existence. Cyberpanky N.O.W. is so fucking awesome we couldn’t give two shits about what you decide to play, even if it’s some bullshit game about dungeons and fairies. Just grab some paper, pencils, dice—miniatures optional—and a pair of balls, and you are all set to go dickface.

This game is meant to emulate the 70s style cyberpunk game that never was, while throwing in some new ideas to be pretentious postmodern dickheads. The rules are light, with a focus on GMs making rulings, as opposed to having a set mechanic for every circumstance. At the beginning of a campaign, characters will be weak and inexperienced, and as the campaign progresses characters become badass motherfuckers.

Cyberpanky N.O.W. consists of 3 parts.
1. Meat, Metal & Miracles: Describes character creation, game mechanics, miracles, and some random identity generation.
2. Undesirables: NPCs—everything from corporate scumbags, to ducks with huge brains to cult leaders to giant rabbits to Anarchists, Aliens, and
Rockerboys.
3. Corporate, Wasteland, & Cyberspace Infrastructure: All of the anti-so-cial GM random generation charts and shit, along with expanded cyberspace rules. Sound familiar? Fuck you.
