Forests are some of the most commonly visited landscapes in any D&D or fantasy RPG adventure, and why shouldn’t they? They are awesome, large, fantastical and exhume a beautiful aura of mystical magic. Because of this, I wanted to create a long and comprehensive list of 100 random encounters, so that DMs that have to deal with the unexpected turns of the party, can have something under the sleeve to randomly use.
These encounters range from very basic stuff, like random wolf encounters, to some more dynamic and difficult challenges, like falling into a deadly dungeon. There’s a lot of variety, and, I hope, a lot of interesting encounters and events to use and play through.
