The d20 Modern System Reference Document (MSRD) was published in 2003 by Wizards of the Coast and is based on d20 Modern. The MSRD allows for third-party publishers to freely produce material compatible with d20 Modern System. It also forms the basis for independent role-playing games from other publishers.
The MSRD originally was offered as a series of sixty-two topically organized RTF files that collectively constituted the entire document.
