Dame 2000

Game ID: GID0084094
Collection Status
Description

This game is played on a 9×9 board. Each player starts with fourteen pawns, arranged one square apart on the first three rows on his side of the board.

Each piece has a different colour head, which denotes its rank (in ascending order: blue-green-red-yellow). The colour influences its movement options and its combat strength.

Whenever a piece attempts to capture an opposing piece, both players roll a die. The numbers on the die depend on the colour of the piece:

blue:

1,2,3,4,5,6

green:

3,3,4,4,5,6

red:

4,4,5,5,6,6

yellow:

5,5,5,6,6,6

The highest score wins. The losing piece is removed from the game. The other piece is increased one rank by switching its head for a new head one colour higher. (Yellow pieces are not promoted).

The player who eliminates all opposing pieces wins the game.
