Dark Altar

The temple has crumbled almost into nothingness. Even the plaster of the ground is in shambles. Some kind of vile reddish black liquid is oozing out of the cracked ground, clinging unpleasantly to everything coming in touch with it. Yet at the center of all this corruption and decay stands the evil, jagged altar, that once was the heart of the innermost insanctum of the temple that rose here. And as if to spite all the destruction around it, it stands almost untouched by years and many an attempt to remove or destroy it. Freshly lit torches and iron cages partially sunk into the vile black liquid suggest that once again someone is trying to make use of this unholy place.
