Welcome to the shadows.

This booklet will add a new area to adventure in, allowing your characters to grow, develop further and to encounter new and more terrifying threats.

Dark Woods of Winter is intended to be an “advanced” module to use once you have gotten some experience under your belt: The encounters are harder but hopefully the rewards will also be worth it.

Then again, many a traveler never returns from the woods. Why should you?

If the core Five Leagues book leaned into non-supernatural fantasy for the most part, this is also where the magical and the otherworldly gets turned up. As such, it will also present you with new challenges for the painting desk and your miniatures collection.
