From publisher blurb:
Darkness of the Demimonde is a rules-light role-playing game of Victorian Pulp Horror and Mystery! With rules based on Tunnel Goons (by Nate Treme) and The Midnight Chimes (by Scott Malthouse), Darkness of the Deminmonde is easy to learn, quick to jump into, and great for one-shots and short campaigns. Rules are player-facing allowing the spotlight to rest firmly on the PCs.
Players can take on the role of Enlightened (normal people who investigate and combat the supernatural) or Afflicted (supernatural entities that strive to keep the darkness at bay). They might be detectives, alienists, or antiquaries; vampires, werewolves, psychics, or many other types of characters.
Campaigns might focus on secretive orders of hermetic magicians, the hidden society of vampires, investigation of paranormal phenomenon, or any other story that interests the group. The default setting is the Victorian world with a hidden supernatural realm that bleeds into our mundane history--the Demimonde!
