23 Lineages and 16 Careers
Lupyrion. To be marked by a lupyrion huntshuund is to know nothing but fear and flight, running from world to world to world. Little has been revealed of the clouded and barren lupyrion homeworld, but they say that they descend from a being called the Mechanahuund, a massive biotechnological wolf who leads the Graalhuunth, a cosmos-spanning hunting competition.
Marue. Hailing from the living city of Starcyte, the marue are said to have been born from the arkstorm itself in the silence between lightning strike and thunder’s cry. They are loud, boisterous, and always down for a good party. But anger them, and the power of the storm will be unleashed.
Morthyr. Known for Beacon City’s first contact with another Ghaistalan settlement, the Morthyr reside in Morthra and spread their knowledge between portals to Beacon. They have even begun to educate G.E.A.R. in the use of star forges, an ancient technology that has yet to be found within the Beacon itself.
Nuin. Long before the Azam even dreamed of travel in the stars, Thymia’s first people thrived in the real. The Nûin, the honorable dead, are said by the Azam to be the spirits of the first ancestors, magical creatures of golden shroud, gazing into the sun to read omens in their rippling depths. But these gilded, statuesque ‘ghosts’ are nothing of the sort. They are a horned people, an ancestry and culture all their own who have cultivated their relationship between the whispering raw power of Etheric tradiation and their own deeply spiritual practices.
Olcador. Once created as assistants to the now-extinct Tyranusians, the Olcador rebelled against their creators who only had hubris, not empathy or kindness. Now, Olcadorians are committed to making beautiful, wondrous things and treating others with equality and understanding.
Pralgin. The Pralgin are small, weaselfolk who dwell on Ghaistala’s moon of Tinder. Highly skilled at carpentry and repurposing old materials into delightful new creations, the Pralgin have been a very welcome partner to many construction companies in Beacon, especially to those run by the Vulberg families.

Believing themselves to be descended from the great ry’laeg, powerful aquatic saurials created by the Titan Duty, the Ry’laegoth are devoted to protecting those who live above water from what dwells below the surface. All Ry’laegoth live by one rule that often puts others on edge: “Do not awaken the Dreamer.”
Shoogbii. Star-touched, planet-touched, those who channel the cosmos - there are many names people give them. While there is no predestined path for that of shoogbii, a vast majority of them become cosmic wizards, dedicating many years of their lives to perfecting their power and ability to channel it.
Shyanthry. The Shyanthry are cosmic nomads. The precise origin of their journey is unknown, and none ever speak of their final intended destination - nor will they acknowledge if such a destination even exists. Their time in any one settlement can be as short as a few weeks or as long as a century, but eventually the society will come to the decision to move on. An outpost is often left behind, peopled by a small conclave or even a single watcher left behind.
Skub. Some of the most trusting people ever, Skub are known for being boisterous brewers and miners who always pull out a chair for others, even strangers they just met. This jovial demeanor leads to a fiercely competitive spirit when Skub leave their burrows to play rousing winter games.

Suidar. The Suidar are the porcine people originating from the Negative Sphere, the dark and twisted mirror of Ghaistala. The ancient Suidar philosopher, immortalized as The Preceptress, led the Suidar out of the oppressive environment of the Negative Sphere and into the light of Ghaistala, imparting upon the Suidar the principle of fearlessness in face of death.
Tal'targg. Originally coming into existence to eat the nightmares of haunted children on their homeworld, the Tal’targg have since become the highest degree of experts on dream magic. As such, some have also gained a reputation for wanting to haggle with travelers to get rid of any unwanted dreams or nightmares.
Vesseled. The Vesseled are spirits of those who lived by and for the blade. Whether a warrior who’s journey cannot end yet to a blacksmith who put their heart and soul into the creation of a perfect set of armor, Vesseled spirits are held to the Primary sphere by a force far beyond their own. They are forces of will, meaning their origins can be extremely flexible. Those who live a second life now Vesseled normally live has mentors and pass their knowledge to the next generations about their trade. The memories of their past life are foggy, if not completely gone, meaning that many start new lives while others try to figure out their past instead. Newly Vesseled spirits are arisen into unworn armor, old and new, which means many adventures had awoken to their armor moving on its own in the morning. Though uncommon, they can also manifest into sets of clothing or even items but the soul is normally drawn to a humanoid shape.
Vulberg. Believed to hail from the world of Au, the vulberg are amazing magitech engineers. Many of the street cars, magicycles, and magicraft within the streets of Beacon have been built by them. They are a people of impulse, hyperfixation, and energy, loving nothing more than to build and build, but also relax and slow down.
Vygrybl. Hailing from the asteroid Vrg, Vrgrybl came to Lowcity long ago from a crashing meteor. Their love of philosophy and the natural mineral-creating properties from the paragite their ooze suits absorbed made them more than welcome in Beacon City over time.

Originating from what was believed to be the edge of existence, the Woluk experienced a rapid growth of their civilization and quickly realized that preserving knowledge of the past was the key to avoiding collapse. Now, they are widely known as creators of their Great Library and are professional adventurers, archaeologists, researchers, and scholars.
Xagwali. The Xagwali have been around as long as the sun, coming down to the planets and bringing light to the darkness of the night and fire and warmth to the cold at the beginning of time. When the Toll wiped out all of humanoid life on Ghaistala the Xagwali left together to stay alive and waited out the years until new life began to find the planet, and then repeated the cycle of bringing light. They are able to survive in space, and you are most likely to find them in places that only their own light has ever touched.
Xopht. High in the mountains of Gotmah where the air is clean and the soil free of eldritch corruption, the Xopht, which bear little resemblance to other inhabitants of the planet, dwell in their many-walled city centers. They are heavily immersed in an academic and martial culture that trains them from a young age.
Yakat. Hailing from planet Xagroph, the yakat are industrious and tactical but also at times violent, overbearing, and warmongering to those not privy to their voracious nature. This is reflected by their love of sparring with just about anyone they come to meet. Challenging and succeeding in combat is the quickest way to earn friendship and respect among many yakat.
Zilgin. Resembling humanoid coatimundis from the Ivory Wilds of Ghaistala, Zilgin are curious inventors, spending hours upon hours tinkering with magitech until they’ve made it better.
