From publisher blurb:

Eleven New Lineages

Ozolid. Ozolids are intelligent masses of living slime who have independently budded and spawned from the surface of their self-aware planet of origin. Newly capable of independent thought and action, they are highly inquisitive and explorative creatures with desires to experience new sensations and feelings.

Necrominth. Strange and unsettling at first glance, Necrominths are colonies of conscious, parasitic worms that operate as a hive mind. They form societies within decaying remains of corpse-hosts, able to pilot their bodies and speak through them. Eventually the host vessel atrophies, and a new one is required.

Akinoid. Long ago, the Akinoid people bore witness to a cosmic phenomenon that echoed throughout reality on a multiversal scale. Ever since, they became innately attuned with other planes of existence and their places within them; subtly able to commune with other iterations of themselves across space and time.

Mantiri. Colorful and confident, the Mantiri make a statement in whatever room they are in. With their charm, beauty, and pheromone-infused natural perfume, the Mantiri have infiltrated nearly all sectors of high society assuming roles as art collectors, socialities, viziers, merchant princen, and galactic nobility.

Eos. Refugees to all known reality, the Eo are a mysterious collective of transdimensional pilgrims constructed from living panels of pure light. Once, they could traverse all of time and space by pure thought alone, but some unknown force severed their connection to their otherworldly home plane and abandoned them in a foreign galaxy. Within the Eos, there are the three sublineages of the glimmari, photoari, and radiari.

Cerezoa. Pioneers in science, medicine, and metaphysics, the Cerezoa are natural-born geniuses and psions. They believe themselves to all be infinite individual reflections of a singular All-Knowing entity referred to simply as “The One,” who they are convinced is superior to other lifeforms. Their society venerates power of the mind as proof of their primacy.

Morphaan. Masters of deception, the Morphaan have become invaluable and integral members of the galactic secret intelligence market. This is due to their unique physiology, which allows them to transmute their forms to replicate the appearance of nearly any other organic, sapient species.

The Graymist Collective. In ages past, a rogue artificial intelligence known as “GRAYMATTER” infected and assumed control over an entire system’s nanobot assembly. It’s reign of terror ended when the majority of it’s mass was forced into a Black Hole, but the remaining nanites, separated from their overlord, developed self-awareness.

Ecosynth. The Ecosynth Combine were once a species of fully organic beings, but pollution and environmental collapse forced them to transfer their consciousnesses into cybernetic shells to survive. Now, they treat econconsciousness as a form of religious practice, traveling the galaxy to purify and cleanse worlds.
