Description

"The Filipino Game of Life"

Demopoly is a game with obvious similarities in appearance to Monopoly. Players roll dice and move along spaces around the board. When they land on a space they take the action listed. They may buy a company share, draw a cash prize card, pay a fine or be arrested. Players who are arrested then draw a sentence card to determine the penalty for their particular crime. Shares pay preset dividends.

Demopoly is almost entirely a luck dependent game. The only player decision is whether or not to buy a share when you land on a share space. All other outcomes in the game are decided by the dice and the cards. There is no player interaction such as trading or negotiation.

The winner of the game is the last player left. Players may be eliminated from the game by going bankrupt or, less likely, being sentenced to death for a capital crime.
