Each player has a number of cat pieces; there is also a "neutral" dog. The players roll a die, moving there cats toward the target area. When a player rolls a dog symbol, though, the dog moves forward one square. If the dog reaches a cat, that cat is removed from the game. The cats can try to reach trees as well, which are safe from the dog. At the end of the game, each cat that got away gets ten points, each cat in a tree gets 1-8 points (depending on the position of the tree).
