Depredador Natural ("Natural Predator") is a trick-taking card game, where the players are predators looking for preys. You must lead hunts, compete for food, avoid invasive species, and take Refuge in a Biome when its gets dangerous.
In a less thematic way of speaking, you need to take tricks with colors cards (preys), avoiding black invaders cards (Negative Points). The catch is that you don't know what color preys will give you positive points, because only when you play your "Refuge" special card in the round, you will set the Biome you will live, scoring only that biome preys. I.e. You play your Refuge and take shelter in the Jungle Biome (Green), so, in the Scoring, you will only score positive points for Green Jungle Preys. Only one player can live in each biome in a round, so the timing to take refuge is crucial.
This game forms part of the "Selección Natural" Saga of Games, all sharing a theme of natural species, biomes, evolving, hunting, etc.
