Destiny - Hand of Fate merges the designer's Destiny core mechanics with the Fate Core system. The principle mechanics of Strategic Edges and Complications are derived from Destiny and implemented within a Fate framework. The original Destiny game is not strictly needed for play (but will clarify concepts and explain theory). The book includes a discussion of how the diceless mechanics of Destiny can merge with the standard Fate mechanisms. Destiny - Hand of Fate also introduces cards as a mechanism for action resolution (in particular, this allows for simultaneous attack and defense action execution).
A lengthy sample character interaction is provided to illustrate the concepts.
